Pontiac, Michigan

Pontiac is a sizable Detroit suburb, and the county seat of Oakland County. The population was 59,515 at the 2010 census. It is generally known in the area for its high crime rates, in contrast to the rest of the generally-safe suburbs.

Founded in 1818, Pontiac is the oldest inland city in Michigan. The city is home of the annual Arts, Beats & Eats festival that draws 1.5 million visitors a year. It is also the northern hub of the Woodward Dream Cruise.

    Correction-The mansion is Georgian revival and it was built in 1917.

    This was closed in 2009 due to the housing bubble and stock marked crash. It was leveled to the ground in 2012 and sold for scrap.
